Who has the Advantage? - LPL 3/16 5AM ET Slate (2 Games)

Now that I have joined DFSArmy, my cheat sheets will be over there from now on. On the blog I will write some of my thought about the slate in general, as well as plays I like and the specific games.

Rogue Warriors (RW) vs Edward Gaming (EDG)

RW are coming off of a very competitive series against IG in which they probably should have won. A couple mistakes and lapses in focus led to an IG win. They did show promise here however and ZWuji continues to show he is a star. WeiYan seems to be an improvement over Haro as well. Overall they look better than before all of these roster changes, but they lack the consistency as of now. We need to see more from them before firmly placing an opinion on the team. The game against IG looked good, but you never know how IG will play on a day and they were pretty poor on that slate.

EDG are a mixed bag and continue to be confusing with this new roster. They have shown a terrible showing (vs SN) and an impressive one (vs ES). It is hard to tell how this team will continue to perform at this current time period without more games with their new players. They still have Scout. Hope, and Meiko however, and these 3 players are experienced and very skilled. They seemingly have adjusted well to all the swapping going on. EDG still should be the favourite here, as they have proven consistent performers on their squad. I would not be surprised if RW take a game, or even the series, but I slightly favour EDG.


Advantage to : EDG

Players to watch (EDG): Hope, Scout, xiaoxiang 

 Players to watch (RW): ZWuji, Crazy, WeiYan

While I still believe EDG to be the optimal/cash play tonight, RW makes for the popular GPP choice. Many people will be on them as using them gives massive upside for the rest of your roster.  

Team WE (WE) vs FunPlus Phoenix (FPX)
 

WE were severely overrated after collecting a couple wins vs bottom of the table teams, and they were smacked back into place by RNG the other night. They over-performed early on, but against good teams they will continue to get exposed. Beishang has been extremely feast or famine this season, and hes a big key to their success and to their downfall. I feel a similar result to the last game against RNG will happen here.

FPX are starting to look like the World Champs we know again, with GimGoon in the lineup they play much better than with Khan. Doinb is still doing Doinb things and I think they are finally getting into form again. They should be able to take care of WE.


Advantage to: FPX

Players to Watch (FPX): Doinb, Tian, Lwx 

Pretty interesting 2 -game slate overall, one massive favourite and one slight favourite. I think that RW has a lot of merit in GPP formats, and can see it being the popular build there. FPX/EDG is a safe cash option for those not looking to take a risk.
