NA Academy LCS Quick Picks

Happy 4th of July everyone, I know a lot of you are busy and may not have time to get too much esports done today, so I will keep it quick. Just going to list my picks to win and who to target from those games with a quick description.


GGA vs FOXA

Very close game between similar strength teams. With Echo Fox, they have some skilled players for Academy such as Lourlo, Fenix, Lost but the problem is I never fully know their starting roster, as it is not always announced ahead of lock. GGA are a pretty good academy team in my opinion, they have former LCS players and are overall a very good roster. My slight lean in this game is GGA.
Pick: GGA

Players to target: Palafox, FBI, Darshan


C9A vs CGA
I love targeting C9A in academy, they play fast and aggressive, and even in losses they rack up points from constant skirmishes. I also do not know their roster as of yet, just waiting on top lane confirmation for now. CGA have announced their starting roster, but I am unimpressed with it, even though they are bringing in their bottom tier LCS midlaner to the game, I am taking C9 all day in this one.
Pick: C9A
Players to target: Blaber, Keith, Goldenglue
CLGA vs TSMA
TSMA and C9A are the clear top 2 teams in Academy in my eyes. They both could be LCS quality teams. TSMA is a very well balanced roster with strong players in every role. I think they will win this game relatively easily. CLGA had some potential in my eyes when academy started, but they have really dropped the ball. I think their toplane is a big weakness, and their bot lane has not been very good either. Anything can happen in best of 1s, but I am sticking with TSMA here.
Pick: TSMA
Players to target: Ablazeolive, Brandini, Spica
OPTA vs  FLYA
OPTA are a decent quality team. They have a couple good players and former LCS players in Dardoch and Gate, and some pretty good up and comers like Asta. Scarlet played in LCS the previous week and he did very well, helping the main OpTic roster perform above expectations with a substitute midlaner. FLYA are just bad, I do not like their team at all, and they have struggled massively the entire split. The only players that have some potential on their team are Strompest and Erry, but the rest of their roster is so weak it doesn't really matter. 
Pick: OPTA
Players to target:  Dardoch, Asta, Gate

Amazing upset night yesterday, shit hit the fan, but LNG was great in their victory I suppose. Let's see how tonight goes. OMG (-240) vs DMO (+170) OMG have been pretty good this season, and I am pretty impressed by them. Icon and Curse have got some pretty good teammates now and this has really enabled them as stars to take over more games. I am impressed with H4cker's play as well, he didn't look great last season but has improved by the looks of it. I think it is time to forget about to old DMO who were a playoff team, and focus on the now. They are playing like a bottom tier team and xiye was really a disappointment. Rift Rivals Draftkings Notes 6/28

Rift Rivals Notes Friday June 28 Draftkings has once again given us two slates.One at 3 PM ET and another at 5PM ET. Both two game slates. 3:00 PM ET (2 Games) TL vs G2 G2 came out of the gate swinging in the first game of Rift Rivals against C9, they completely and utterly dominated C9, making quick work of NA's second best team . The game was even won against a "broken" Sona/Taric bot lane and it was not even close. G2 played their style and completely shut down any hope that C9 had for that game. While I don't expect the same level of dominance against a better team in TL, I struggle to find a way that G2 can lose this one, they are one of the best teams in the world and are showing it once again against North America's best teams. TL are not typically the type of team to cheese an unorthodox strategy, so playing traditionally does not help them. TL is clearly the best North American team at this event (not saying much).
